Le Pain Quotidien (88 W. Colorado Blvd.) is a regular lunch spot for me and a couple friends.
The French-inspired eatery serves many organic and vegan dishes, as well as agave sweetened drinks that I particularly appreciate.
I stopped in for lunch with a friend Tuesday and we discovered that the dishes we usually order--the egg salad tartine (open-faced sandwich) and mango shrimp salad--were no longer on the menu. Some of the salads and tartines have changed on the menu permanently, a server told us.
So we ventured into the new menu as well as the seasonal specials and got:
Smoked salmon tartine (new menu)
Zucchini herb and feta frittata (seasonal)
Watermelon cooler with cucumber agave and lemon (seasonal)
I could have had a pitcher of the watermelon cooler and especially enjoyed the dill in my frittata.
Have you been to Le Pain Quotidien? If so, what do you think of it?
