Pasadena Man Charged In Fatal Villa Parke Shootings

Christopher Hall, 21, was arrested earlier this month in connection with the deaths of Cristino Avila and Aaron Flores.

PASADENA, CA — Prosecutors charged a Pasadena man Tuesday in the deaths of two men and the wounding of a third, all of whom were shot near the Villa Parke Community Center in December.

Christopher Hall, 21, was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, according to the Pasadena Police Department. Hall is scheduled to appear back in court June 1 and is being held on $5.16 million bail, according to court records.

Pasadena police responded to a report of shots fired near Villa Parke on the afternoon of Dec. 1. Officers found three people with gunshot wounds just north of the park, police said.

Cristino Avila, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene. Aaron Flores, 40, was sent to a nearby hospital but later died from his wounds. The third man was seriously wounded in the shooting but survived, according to police.

Hall was arrested earlier this month by detectives and members of the U.S. Marshals Service, according to Pasadena Now.

Hall is the twin brother of Christian Hall, who was arrested this month in connection with the fatal shooting of a man and dog in Monrovia in March, the magazine reported.
