Pasadena Public Library Reopens Branches For In-Person Services

PASADENA, CA — Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card and now it’s even easier in Pasadena with the reopening of two additional library branches in the city.

The Allendale Branch Library reopened Tuesday while the Villa-Park Branch Library is set to welcome back patrons June 28. The locations will join six other branches of the Pasadena Public Library that have reopened their doors to in-person service again after switching to virtual programming and curbside service last year because of the pandemic, library officials said.

The Central Library remains closed since earthquake safety concerns were raised in May and the Hill Avenue Branch remains open for curbside service only.

The full list of libraries currently open for service is:

• Allendale Branch Library: 1130 S. Marengo Ave., Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Hastings Branch Library: 3325 E. Orange Grove Blvd., Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
• Hills Avenue Branch Library (Curbside only): 55 S. Hill Ave., Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• La Pintoresca Branch Library: 1355 N. Raymond Ave., Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Lamanda Park Branch Library: 140 S. Altadena Drive, Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Linda Vista Branch Library: 1281 Bryant St., Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• San Rafael Branch Library: 1240 Nithsdale Road, Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Santa Catalina Branch Library: 999 E. Washington Blvd., Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Villa Parke Branch Library (in-person resumes June 28): 363 E. Villa St., Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
