Pasadena Resident Named to California High Speed Rail Authority
Katherine Aguilar Perez-Estolano was once the city's deputy mayor.

Governor Jerry Brown has appointed Pasadena's Katherine Aguilar Perez-Estolano to the California High Speed Rail Authority, according to an announcement from the Governor's Office.
The 45-year-old Perez-Estolano is a professor at the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development and served as the executive director of the Urban Land Institute's Los Angeles District Council from 2008 to 2011. As far as Pasadena goes, she the city's deputy mayor from 1998 to 2000 and transportation manager for the City of South Pasadena from 1996 to 1998.
