Pasadena’s Urban Homestead Celebrating Food Day

Wednesday is Food Day, a national movement focusing on healthy, sustainable, affordable food.

Wednesday is Food Day and while it may just sound like an invitation to stuff your face, it’s a national celebration and movement focusing on healthy, affordable and sustainable food.

For those who want to commemorate the occasion locally, Pasadena’s Urban Homestead is hosting a Film & Food Night event on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Urban Homestead, a family-operated farm that started at a Pasadena home and now produces over 6,000 pounds of organic food annually, is holding a community potluck starting at 7 p.m. so attendees are encouraged to contribute something (preferably vegetarian), according to Urban Homestead’s website.
