Pasadena School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Pasadena is August 14. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Pasadena UnifiedSchool District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/11: Teacher Driven Day

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/10: Rose City Shortened Day, Quarterly Exams
• 10/13: No School for Students (High School Staff Development Day, Elementary and Middle School Parent Conference Day)

November

• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/15: High School Shortened Day
• 12/19: Rose City Shortened Day
• 12/19 - 12/21: High School Shortened Day, Final Exams
• 12/20 - 12/21: Rose City Shortened Day, Final Exams, K-8 Shortened Day
• 12/22: No School (Winter Break Begins)

January

• 1/8: Students Return
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/12: No School (Lincoln's Birthday)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents Day)

March

• 3/19 - 3/23: No School (Spring Break)
• 3/30: No School for Students (Staff Development Day)

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/29 - 5/30: High School Shortened Day, Final Exams
• 5/30 - 5/31: Rose City Shortened Day, Final Exams
• 5/31: Last Day of Students, Shortened Day

June

• 6/1: Last Day for Teachers (Teacher Driven Day)
