PASADENA, CA — If you're fully vaccinated against COVID-19 you will no longer have to wear a mask in Pasadena beginning Tuesday, according to the city's Public Health Department. However, there will be some exceptions.

California is set to lift its coronavirus restrictions next week and the city's health department issued new guidelines to align with the state and federal governments' revised guidance for mask wearing, according to a statement from Pasadena’s health agency.

For visitors and residents to Pasadena who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning it’s been two weeks since their second shot of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines or since they were given the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, masks will no longer be required except in these circumstances:

“The continued public health safety measure of appropriate masking is critically important to protect those who are unvaccinated and not yet eligible to receive the vaccine.”

Multiple vaccination sites are located across the city including the La Pintoresca Branch Library, the Boulevard bar and the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Check the health department’s website for a full list of vaccination sites and to see which vaccines are being offered.
