PCC: Journalism Professor's Leave Not Tied to Coverage
Warren Swil, faculty advisor for the school's paper, was placed on leave following allegations of misconduct.

An e-mail from Pasadena City College leadership states that journalism professor Warren Swil's placement on paid leave has nothing to do with teaching or coverage of PCC leadership in the student paper he advised, according to a story in the Pasadena Sun.
“I made the decision that placing professor Swil on leave was legally required and was necessary for the protection of the complainant, pending an outside, independent investigation into the allegations,” wrote Robert Bell, the school's vice president for academic and student affairs, in an e-mail to staff and faculty, the Sun reports.
