Wanted: Rose Bowl Stadium Tour Guides

Maybe rushing the Rose Bowl field in a football uniform is not in the cards for you, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a part of Pasadena’s famous stadium.

Starting this summer, the Rose Bowl will open for public guided tours, the stadium shared on its facebook page, and is “in search of enthusiastic members of the community who share our passion for the Rose Bowl.” 

Part-time and volunteer positions will be available.

“The Tour Guide role is to effectively give information about Rose Bowl Stadium in an entertaining and informative manner,” according to the job posting.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Provide exceptional customer service to stadium visitors
• Welcome each visitor and serve them as they begin their tour
• Maintain a professional image and pleasant demeanor at all times
• Be knowledgeable about all parts of the stadium that are on the tour and in the script
• Facilitate a group getting through the stadium in a safe and effective way
• Work with fellow team members to keep tour moving on schedule
• Learn the different ticket types and what tours are available on a day to day basis
• Communicate with teammates and supervisors
• Ensure safety of all visitors
• Act as liaison between guests and Rose Bowl Stadium
• Provide set-up of tours
• Assist guests with emergencies and critical situations
• Communicate guests' issues with Tour Operations Manager
• Assist with special requests/duties

Required skills and experience include:

• Have relevant customer service experience
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate a positive and team-oriented attitude
• Must be comfortable serving visitors of all backgrounds and ages
• Must be willing to be flexible with schedule and daily assignments
• Ability to stand or walk long distances for long periods of time
• Ticketmaster Host experience is a plus
• Ability to speak other languages besides English is a plus
• Pasadena resident a plus
