Sample Fee-Based Pasadena Senior Center Winter Classes for Free
Via Zoom for members and non-members

Four times a year the Pasadena Senior Center offers a full lineup of fee-based classes for people 50 and older.
As the registration period for nearly 30 fee-based winter classes approaches, anyone can choose from more than a dozen of the most popular offerings – from Acting Virtually to Zumba Gold – by attending half-hour “class tastings” via Zoom for free, meeting the instructors and learning more about the courses.
- Monday, Jan. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Yoga at 9 a.m., Strength Training at 10 a.m., Beginner French at 11:30 a.m., Intermediate/Advanced French at 12:30 p.m., Solo Ballroom Dancing at 1:30 p.m., Solo Ballroom Line Dancing at 2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pilates at 9 a.m., Yoga and Presence Practice/Meditation at 10 a.m., The Art and Joy of Sewing at 11 a.m., QiGong and Tai Chi at noon, Beginner/Intermediate Tap Dancing at 12:30 p.m., Watercolor painting at 1 p.m., Acting Virtually at 2 p.m., Bolly X (low-impact cardio) at 3 p.m.

After the class tastings, register for fee-based classes at www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org (click on Online Classes) or call 626-795-4331. The registration deadline for fee-based classes is Friday, Jan. 8.
Most classes are for 10 weeks and range from $40 to $70 for Pasadena Senior Center members and $50 to 80 for non-members. Scholarships for low-income older adults are available on a limited basis.

The center, at 85 E. Holly St., is an independent, donor-supported nonprofit organization. Doors are open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for social services and other critical assistance to older adults in need. Masks are required inside the building, and social distancing is maintained.
