SIP-tember Cocktail Finalists Throw Down Thursday

The public can taste and vote on four Pasadena restaurant cocktails Thursday to choose the winner of the first SIP-tember cocktail bracket challenge.

It’s a tough decision, but one that must be made: Who has the best cocktail in Pasadena?

The inaugural SIP-tember cocktail challenge, hosted by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, pitted several participating Pasadena restaurants against each other for a six-week bracket challenge where patrons have voted online for their favorite cocktails.

It began August 15th, which marked the 100th birthday celebration and city-wide cocktail party for Pasadena’s native Julia Child.

What began with 64 cocktails is now down to the final four and they will throw down live at Paseo Colorado from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. The best part? You can taste the cocktail finalists and vote for who you think should win Pasadena's Cocktail of the Year.

The four finalists and their cocktails are:

  • Gale’s Restaurant: Basil Lemon Martini
  • Magnolia Lounge: Vinnie Chase
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House: Broad Street Hurricane
  • Toro Sushi Bar Lounge: Finding Nemo

A mini Taste of Pasadena will also be held at the event and a $15 ticket gets you access to both.

Pasadena Restaurant Week mentions that you can grab tasty bites from local restaurants including: Real Food Daily, Haven Gastropub + Brewery, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, El Cholo, Noor Restaurant and Ballroom, King’s Row Gastropub, California Pizza Kitchen, Arclight Cinemas, Stonefire Grill, Toro Sushi and more.
