Check out details from the City of Pasadena:

Pasadena Police and Fire Departments will continue to be staffed for all patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and other emergency services. For any life-threatening emergencies, always remember to call 9-1-1.

Pasadena residents and businesses with any power emergencies should call the Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) Department at (626) 744-4673 and for water-related emergencies call (626) 744-4138. PWP’s regular Customer Service Call Center will be closed for the holiday, but customers can still pay their bills by phone at (626) 744-4005 or on the Web at www.PWPweb.com.  The City’s Municipal Services Payment Center at City Hall also will be closed.

The City Council will not meet on Monday, May 27.

Refuse and recycling services will be on regular schedules for Memorial Day, May 27 as well as the rest of the week.  No pickups for bulky items will be scheduled for May 27.

The Pasadena Public Library, including the Central Library and all branches, will be closed both Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27.

The City’s Area Rapid Transit System (ARTS) and Dial-A-Ride transportation programs will not be in operation on Memorial Day, but will resume regular service on Tuesday, May 28.

Parking
All parking meters not posted as a “No Parking” zone will be free and time limits will not be enforced during the holiday.  Violations for red curb parking and blocking fire hydrants will continue to be enforced on the holiday, however.

The Community Centers operated by the City’s Human Services and Recreation Department will be closed on Memorial Day, but all parks will be open for picnics, fun and festivities.  No site reservations are accepted on holidays.
