What's the Most Expensive Bottle of Wine at Everson Royce?
The answer lies in a cool wooden box.
Everson Royce sits next to the Armory Center of the Arts, tucked away from the bustle of Colorado in Old Pasadena but close enough to attract wine lovers looking to grab a bottle for a party, a special dinner or participate in one of the store's multitude of tastings.
But ask co-owner April Langford what the most expensive bottle of wine is, and she grabs some keys and heads to the back.
Out comes "The Duel," a box of two bottles, one is a syrah, one grenache from Manfred Krankl and his extremely exclusive Sine Qua Non winery. Krankl never repeats any labels, which makes anything from him very hard to find in retail. Each bottle ranges between $700-$800 according to Langford (the prices weren't locked into the system yet).

And just because both bottle appear lovingly packaged in a wooden box, you don't have get both bottles together.
"Yeah," said Langford, "that might be a lot to ask of somebody."
