When Love Trumps DNA: Patch Mother's Day Photo

LOS ANGELES, CA — They say there is nothing more powerful than a mother’s love, and it shows.
Patch reader and Pomona resident Sylvia Carrillo sent us this gorgeous photo of her and her son Christopher taken at Eaton Canyon. As she notes, the resemblance is remarkable, and, yet, they don’t share genes.

“He's my one and only,” writes Sylvia. “And interestingly enough, he's adopted...which makes our resemblance all the more special.”

Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, children become a reflection of the woman who raised them.
