Wind Advisory: Power Outages Possible

Pasadena and other foothill communities could experience isolated wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Batten down the hatches.

A wind advisory is in effect from noon Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday for the San Gabriel Valley including Pasadena.

“Winds will be strongest in the foothills,” said a National Weather Service advisory that noted isolated foothills gusts up to 50 miles per hour.

Winds of this magnitude can down power lines and tree limbs and cause hazardous driving conditions so NWS advises extra caution.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Breezy, with a northwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
