1 Dead In Mobile-Home Fire Near Forestville

The Graton Volunteer Fire Department said crews arrived to find the single-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — One person died in a mobile home fire near Forestville in west Sonoma County on Thursday evening, the Graton Volunteer Fire Department said. The blaze was reported about 5:30 p.m. at a mobile home at 5730 Cuneo Court in unincorporated Santa Rosa.

Firefighters from Occidental, Forestville, Sebastopol, the Sonoma County Fire District and Cal Fire all assisted in the response, fire officials said.

The single-wide mobile home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, and it was clear the amount of smoke and fire left no possibility of survival or rescue, according to the fire department.

The name of the person who died has not been released.

Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to vegetation.

The blaze is not considered suspicious, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said.
