Man Reported Missing From Forestville Located

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — UPDATED: A man reported missing last week from Sebastopol has been located, according to the California Highway Patrol. A silver alert that was issued Wednesday, Aug. 29 for John Thompson but was deactivated when he was located later that same day, CHP Officer David deRutte told Patch.

ORIGINAL POST: The California Highway Patrol and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in locating a missing, at-risk elderly man early Thursday morning.

John Thompson, 71, was last seen in Forestville around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, the CHP said. He suffers from a medical condition that may make him disoriented.

According to the CHP, Thompson is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing around 185 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He is driving a gray, 2006 Dodge Ram with California license plate JTZO6 and wears glasses.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
