Bike Path Completed In South Sonoma County
Before the completion of the bikeway path, bicyclists traveling between Petaluma and Novato rode on the shoulders of U.S. Highway 101.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Transportation officials last week celebrated the completion of a bike path in the Marin-Sonoma Narrows bikeway network.
The 3-mile path connects San Antonio Road with the Petaluma Boulevard South in Sonoma County. It is part of the Marin-Sonoma Narrows project that widens U.S. Highway 101 between Sonoma County and Novato.
Before the completion of the bikeway path, bicyclists traveling between Petaluma and Novato rode on the shoulders of Highway 101. The bikeway runs parallel to the highway.
