Bay Area motorists are advised to use caution driving on the new alignment.

PETALUMA, CA — Lanes on U.S. Highway 101 in Petaluma will be shifted toward the median during overnight work Tuesday through Friday.

At least one lane in each direction will remain open during the work from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on 101 between Lakeville Highway (State Route 116) and the Corona overpass.

The shift is being done for a widening project that will convert the outside shoulders into new traffic lanes.
