Congratulations, Jake King, Casa Grande High Class Of 2021
Before this year's seniors head on to that next step in their lives, we want to take a moment to let their stars shine here on Patch.
PETALUMA, CA — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted.
Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year’s grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one.
Casa Grande High student Jake King will graduate this year.

Plans after graduation: Extended learning
Accomplishments: Jake is the most caring, considerate and polite student. Jake was diagnosed on the autistic spectrum when he was in the 2nd grade. To say that we didn’t fully understand what that meant for our son in general let alone academically would be putting it lightly. As we stand here today on the eve of Jake King graduating from Casa Grande High, all we can do as parents is simply beam with pride and amazement. The amount of work put in by Jake and his numerous teachers and aids along the way is truly inspiring. We are so very thankful to the entire Petaluma school district and all the amazingly talented and caring teachers, aids and administrators that have been by my son’s side every step of the way. When we were hit by the awful pandemic and school closures, I asked my son if he wanted to be at school or preferred to be home. His answer will say all you need to know about Jake. His reply, “Of course I want to be at school, I want to work hard so my teachers can be proud of me”. We are all so proud Jake!
