Crash Blocks Sonoma Mountain Parkway In Petaluma: Police

PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police advised motorists Thursday afternoon to avoid Sonoma Mountain Parkway and Maria Drive because of a car wreck.

The intersection in the Crown area of northeast Petaluma is blocked by the traffic collision until further notice, police said in a Nixle alert sent at 1:21 p.m. Thursday.

Emergency medical personnel were among those who responded to the collision reported just after 1:15 p.m.

The roadway remained closed for about four hours, until 5:18 p.m., Petaluma police said.
