Nissan Driver Sought In Sonoma County Hit-And-Run: CHP
The CHP is seeking a 2002-2010 blue or green Nissan Altima sedan with damage to the grille, headlights and front bumper cover.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol was still seeking the public's help Thursday in its search for a driver suspected in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday in Valley Ford.
The incident was reported around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Valley Ford and Tomales roads.
Officers determined a 65-year-old Valley Ford man was driving a 2012 Honda Civic east on Valley Ford Road, approaching Tomales Road, when his car was hit by a blue or green older Nissan sedan, CHP Officer Marcus Hawkins said.

The unidentified driver of the Nissan was preparing to turn west on Tomales when for unknown reasons, the front of the Nissan collided with the back of the Honda Civic on the driver's side, Hawkins said.
After the crash, which caused moderate to major damage to both cars, the driver of the Nissan took off westbound on Tomales Road, the CHP said.

The front passenger of the Honda Civic, a 61-year-old Valley Ford woman, complained of pain and was taken by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, the CHP said.
Officers searched the area, including the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma, but could not find the Nissan driver.
Car parts found at the scene led the CHP to believe the suspect vehicle was possibly a 2002-2010 Nissan Altima with damage to the front grille, headlights and front bumper cover.
"To the best of my knowledge, we have not had anyone from the public come forward with information ... yet," Hawkins wrote Thursday morning in an email response to Patch.
No vehicle fluids were found at the scene, and the Nissan was possibly in a driveable condition following the crash, Hawkins said.
The CHP asked for the public's help finding the Nissan and its driver. Anyone with pertinent information is asked to call Officer K. Lemons at the Santa Rosa Area CHP Office at 707-588-1400.
