Petaluma-Based Friedman's Home Improvement Names New CFO
Jeff Schryver joins a six-person executive team at the company, which has four retail locations, a distribution yard and 600 employees.

PETALUMA, CA —Friedman's Home Improvement, the Petaluma-based home improvement, hardware and lumber chain, announced this week that it hired Jeff Schryver to be the company's chief financial officer.
According to Hardware + Business Supply Dealer online, Schryver will join Friedman's six-person executive team and be responsible for overseeing the financial direction of the company, which has four retail location-Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Sonoma, and Ukiah -a distribution yard and 600 employees.
North Bay Business Journal reported that Schryver has more than 15 years of experience in the retail sector, most recently as the CFO for national confectionary chain Lolli and Pops. Prior to that, Schryver spent 14 years working for cosmetics chain Sephora, leaving the company as its vice president of finance and analytics.

"Jeff's rich background in multiple facets of the retail industry, leadership skillset and true understanding of Friedman's people-first culture are invaluable assets," said Barry Friedman, president and CEO of Friedman's. "He has a strong track record of success and we were particularly drawn not only to his finance expertise, but to his dedication to team development."

According to Hardware + Business Supply Dealer online, Schryver has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder and master's degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
