Petaluma School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Petaluma is August 16. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Petaluma City School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

October

• 10/16: No School for Students (Staff Development Day, CSEA Professional Development Day)

November

• 11/10: No School (Veterans’ Day)
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Fall Break)

December

• 12/21: End of First Semester
• 12/22: No School for Students (Secondary Teacher Workday, Elementary Non-Workday)
• 12/23 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/12: No School (Lincoln’s Holiday)
• 2/19: No School (Washington’s Holiday)

March
