Police vs. Fire Annual Red Kettle Challenge: Friday In Petaluma

PETALUMA, CA – The annual Red Kettle Challenge between the police and fire departments is set for Friday, Dec. 22 on the 100 block of Kentucky Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Petaluma Police Department Chief Ken Savano will go up against Petaluma Fire Department Chief Leonard Thompson to see who can raise the most money for the Petaluma Salvation Army, with proceeds earmarked for local community members who need assistance during the holidays.

"No donation is to small, and if you turn north on Kentucky Street from Western Avenue you don't even have to park," Savano said. "We will take your donation as you drive by."
