The chance of thunderstorms was mostly diminished by late Monday morning, a meteorologist told Patch.

BAY AREA, CA — A red flag warning for the greater Bay Area expired late Monday morning as the chance as thunderstorms was diminishing.
"It is mostly going away; still an isolated chance of thunderstorms in the North Bay into the early afternoon but most of the activity should be over an in hour or so," National Weather Service meteorologist Anna Schneider told Patch around 11:45 a.m. Monday.
However, a red flag warning remains in effect to the north and east of the Bay Area in the Eureka and Sacramento forecast regions, Schneider said.
