SMART Hosts Holiday Express Toy Drive

NORTH BAY, CA – Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is kicking off its Holiday Express Toy Drive this weekend with events planned at the Novato San Marin and Petaluma stations.

Bring an unwrapped toy or gift card to either of the locations. There will also be local musicians, holiday treats and SMART giveaways for the first 50 people who donate to the toy drive.

Donations will be distributed to Toys for Tots and nonprofit organizations in Sonoma and Marin counties, including Petaluma People Services Center, COTS in Petaluma, and North Marin Community Services.

The events will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Petaluma Downtown Station at 220 Lakeville St., and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Novato San Marin Station at 7700 Redwood Blvd.

Holiday Express Toy Drive donation drop-off boxes will also be at several local toy stores, including Toy B Ville and Heebe Jeebe in Petaluma, Five Little Monkeys in Novato, and The Toyworks in Sebastopol.
