Suspected DUI Driver Hits Car, Leads Cops On Pursuit: Petaluma PD
"Luckily, the occupant of the parked vehicle was uninjured."
PETALUMA, CA — A Petaluma man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of DUI after he crashed into a parked car and led officers on a brief pursuit, Petaluma police said.
Officers responded shortly after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to the parking lot of the Sheraton Hotel, 745 Baywood Drive, where it was reported that the driver of a black GMC Sierra pickup crashed into a parked car, Petaluma police Sgt. Matthew Parnow said.
A witness called police because they believed the driver, later identified as 66-year-old Petaluma resident David Kuhn, was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Officers saw Kuhn driving away from the hotel and tried to stop him by activating their lights and sirens, Parnow said.
"Kuhn failed to stop, and a slow-speed vehicle pursuit ensued," Parnow said. "Kuhn ultimately stopped for officers in the area of Casa Grande Road at Bond Avenue. When Kuhn was contacted by officers, he displayed objective signs of alcohol impairment."
