Suspected Hash Oil Lab Busted in Unincorporated Sonoma County

A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing hash oil and possessing marijuana at a home in an unincorporated pocket of Santa Rosa on Monday evening, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the 100 block of Cherie Way, off of Dutton Avenue in the Roseland area, at about 5 p.m. after receiving a report of a gunshot heard and a vehicle seen fleeing the area.

Deputies arrived and found a large quantity of processed marijuana inside a home, along with a butane honey oil manufacturing lab.

The home was unoccupied when deputies arrived. 

Detectives identified Patrick Elias McMullin, 22, Veronica Kenney, 41, as residents of the home, according to the sheriff's office.

They were located, and McMullin was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of marijuana for sale, sheriff's officials said. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail but was later released on $100,000 bail pending arraignment.

Deputies are still investigating the report of a disturbance and a shot fired.
