These 6 Petaluma Traffic Signals Have The Longest Delays

PETALUMA, CA — Traffic: It's an unavoidable reality, but some Petaluma intersections are worse than others, according to a recently released report.

INRIX analyzed traffic signal performance at intersections across the country, and found how much time traffic lights spend on green and times of peak demand.

The majority of intersections in Petaluma are in the least-delayed green range, which indicates minimal delays of no more than 20 seconds per car. About a dozen Petaluma intersections were rated yellow, meaning drivers wait 20-35 seconds for the light to turn green. Fortunately, no local intersections were in the most-delayed red range, which indicates cars may spend 55 seconds or more waiting at a light.

There were six intersections in the slower half of the intermediate orange range, which indicates cars may spend 30 to 55 seconds waiting at a red light, according to the INRIX report. The intersections received a"D" grade for level of service.

• Petaluma Boulevard North and Western Avenue (32.8 percent on green; peak traffic Friday at 10:30 a.m.)
• Petaluma Boulevard North and Bodega Avenue (31.7 percent on green; peak traffic Thursday at 11:45 a.m.)
• Bodega Avenue and Kentucky Street (57.1 percent on green; peak traffic Saturday at 12:45 p.m.)
