As part of the Sonoma-Marin Fair, The "World's Ugliest Dog" contest clawed its way into prominence in 1970s.
If you're lucky enough to be in the area, the barking will begin on the Kiwanis Stage of the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds at 6 p.m. Friday night.
