Bicyclist Killed On I-80 Over The Weekend
The victim was identified Monday as 26-year-old Gabriel Roberts.

RICHMOND, CA — A bicyclist fatally struck in a hit-and-run along Interstate Highway 80 in Richmond on Saturday night has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as Gabriel Roberts, a 26-year-old known as a transient in the area. It was previously reported that the crash happened in Pinole.
The collision was initially reported at 8:14 p.m. as metal debris blocking the middle lanes of westbound Highway 80 just east of Richmond Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded and found Roberts, who they determined had been riding a bicycle in or near the westbound lanes when a passing vehicle struck him. He came to rest in the lanes and multiple other vehicles hit him, CHP officials said.
