Details of body-camera footage showed that the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Oakland resident Jeramy Dorsey, shot once at officers who subsequently pursued him on foot and ordered him to drop the gun in his possession, the police department said Friday in an update.

Dorsey was treated for gunshot injuries at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment, according to police.
When officers searched the residence, they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound.
"Unfortunately, the male was pronounced deceased at the scene," Avery said.
Police did not disclose the name or age of the family member Dorsey is suspected of shooting to death.
The officer involved in the shooting was not struck by gunfire and did not suffer any injuries, Avery said.
Under the county's protocol for such incidents, the officer-involved shooting is being investigated jointly by the Pinole Police Department, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office and the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
The investigation was continuing and police urged anyone with information to call 510-724-1111.
