Boater Rescued From Waters Off Rodeo Thanks To Team Effort
The Rodeo-Hercules Fire District said the real hero, though, was the victim's life vest.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A man whose boat capsized early Wednesday evening off Rodeo was rescued from the rough bay waters through a team effort, the Rodeo-Hercules Fire District said.
An employee of the Phillips 66 San Francisco Refinery in Rodeo saw the boat capsize and threw a life preserver ring to the victim, the Rodeo-Hercules Fire District said in a Facebook post.
Both of the fire district's companies and at least one Pinole Fire crew were dispatched to the scene to find that fortunately, the U.S. Coast Guard was in the area and had pulled the man aboard.
