Carjacking, Mail Theft, Warrant Arrests in Hercules This Week

The Hercules Police Department released photos and information about arrests made in the city this week.

HERCULES, CA-Hercules Police officials released photos of six people arrested this week in town.

"Officers have been working hard to keep the City of Hercules and their residence safe," reported officials in a social media post Tuesday.

The post explained that suspects had been arrested for charges including:

  • false information to a Peace Officer
  • probation violation
  • possession of drug paraphernalia
  • possession of burglary tools
  • warrant arrest
  • mail theft
  • possession of stolen property
  • public intoxication
  • and an additional felony warrant arrest charges

Hercules officials listed the following incidents for calls for service on their March 28 Commander's Report:

Warrant Arrest- At 8:41 a.m., officers arrested Alice Roberts, of Fairfield, after she allegedly gave police a false name. HPD received reports that her vehicle was parked in the 200 block of Apollo Way with plumes of smoke coming from the windows. Following an investigation, HPD reports that Roberts was wanted for Carjacking out of Pinole, and was in possession of narcotics in the vehicle. Also arrested was Jeffrey Tayaf, 35, of Pinole, for possession of burglary tool and various drug charges.

Mail Theft/Stolen Property/Warrants- Officers arrested Christine Racine, 35, of Napa County; Nicholas Vargas, 19, of Bay Point in the 1200 block of Promenade St. following a report of someone breaking into mailboxes.

Assault with Deadly Weapon- At 11:59 a.m., HPD assisted BART officers at eh Rodeo-Hercules station following a possible stabbing.

Felony Warrant Arrest- At 1:41 a.m., HPD responded to report of an adult male pushing a bike in the 800 block of Willow Ave. Following contact with the man, officers determined he had a felony, no bail warrant that was outstanding. Dionte Kelly, 28, was then taken into custody.
