Damon Bell Chosen To Head Contra Costa College

Damon Bell has previously served as interim president for Ventura College in Southern California.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY — Contra Costa College in San Pablo is expected to have a new interim president Wednesday when its governing body will vote on a contract for Damon Bell.

Bell, who has previously served as interim president for Ventura College in Southern California and in leadership roles at other schools, would be under contract through the end of June 2021 if approved by the Contra Costa Community College District.

He will replace acting president Mojdeh Mehdizadeh, who is returning to her full-time position as the district's executive vice chancellor of education and technology.
