Fiery Crash On I-80 In Pinole

At least one person was trapped in a car and had to be rescued.

PINOLE, CA — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fiery crash on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 at Pinole Valley Road.

According to the CHP log, a car slammed into a tree after the crash, trapping at least one person in the car, which caught fire. The fire department put out the blaze and removed the car's roof and doors to get the victim out and into a waiting ambulance. Information on their condition is not available.

Meanwhile, a pickup involved in the crash rolled over. Information on the driver's condition is not available.
