CROCKETT, CA - A bicyclist who died after being struck by a vehicle in the Crockett area of unincorporated Contra Costa County Tuesday evening has been identified as 42-year-old Christopher Bunag, according to the county coroner.
Bunag, a Hercules resident, was riding in the area of 20050 San Pablo Ave., near a vista point parking lot at the southern end of the Carquinez Bridge Trail around 7:25 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Further details about the circumstances of the crash were not immediately available.
