Hercules PD Watch Commander's Report

Officers made a warrant arrest and found a "white crystallized powdery substance" in a driver's coin purse.

The following police blotter items are selected and written by the Hercules Police Department. 

Warrant Arrest:  On September 19, 2012 at 10:38 p.m. an officer stopped a gray ’95 Ford F-150, for a traffic violation. The registration had expired 10/2010 and the vehicle was displaying a 2012 year tab.  The driver, 46 year old Tyrone Turner of Rodeo, was driving on a suspended or revoked driver’s license, and had an active misdemeanor warrant out of Solano County. The warrant was a mandatory appearance.  Turner was arrested and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

Possession of a Controlled Substance:  On September 20, 2012 at 2:03 a.m. an officer stopped a Black ’92 Cadillac for a traffic violation. The driver was driving on a suspended license, and displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The driver consented to having his vehicle searched. A small red coin purse was found on the driver’s side floorboard. It contained a small plastic baggie with a white crystallized powdery substance, believed to be a controlled substance. Gilbert Sanchez III, 25, a transient, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.
