Hercules Police Uncover Marijuana Grows in Richmond and Hercules
Officials say that 744 marijuana plants were confiscated from two residential locations following unusually high utility usage.

HERCULES, CA- Hercules police netted an arrest and uncovered a major marijuana growing operation last week after an investigation, according to a police report released today.

An investigation into potential pot grow homes with unusually high utility bills culminated with search warrants being served at two homes Wednesday, Hercules police said.

One residence was searched in the 100 block of Crane Court and a Richmond home, which an investigation concluded was connected to the Hercules residence, was searched in the 4000 block of Garvin Avenue.
Between the two residences, 744 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were seized, along with five pounds of already trimmed marijuana, according to police.
At the Hercules address, a suspect identified as 49-year-old Xiao Hui Lin was arrested in connection with the operation, according to police. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
