Highway 4 Closed Monday Night By Crash

The vehicle was involved in a high speed chase with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY — At least one person has suffered a major injury following a solo-vehicle crash that was a result of a high-speed pursuit involving the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office on westbound state Highway 4 near Martinez on Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said the crash was reported at about 9 p.m. just west of Alhambra Avenue.

Caltrans had a full closure in place as the CHP conducted its investigation.
