Krusty Kreme in Pinole!?! nooooo!!!

I thought Pinole was finally on an upward evolutionary path with Pete's coffee, TJs, Sobon Korean, but a Krispy Kreme opening up right across the street from a beloved family owned and operated Pinole institution -- Ala Mode Donut Shop.  I was even willing to give them a chance since it seemed KK was trying to remake their image as more of a cafe type business. But the recent flyer advertising an all american camp out leading up to their grand opening and a dozen free doughnuts a week for an entire year to the first customers is well...just sad.
