List Of Pinole Schools Expected To Lose Power Wednesday
PG&E now says that its power shutoff will happen at noon or later, so school will be in session as scheduled Wednesday morning.
PINOLE AND HERCULES, CA — Were you hoping to skip school in Wednesday? No such luck.
All schools in the West Contra Costa Unified School District will be open and operating on a normal schedule on Wednesday, the district announced Tuesday evening.
PG&E announced that a Public Safety Power Shutoff planned for the area won;t begin until noon at the earliest.

The school district has released a list of the following schools expected to be impacted by the PSPS:
- Pinole Valley High School, 2900 Pinole Valley Road, Pinole, CA
- Kensington Elementary School, 90 Highland Blvd., Kensington, CA
- Madera Elementary School, 8500 Madera Drive, El Cerrito, CA
- Olinda Elementary School, 5855 Olinda Road, Richmond, CA
- Collins Elementary School, 1224 Pinole Valley Road, Pinole, CA
- Ellerhorst Elementary School, 3501 Pinole Valley Road, Pinole, CA
The district will update its plans as it receives more information from PG&E.
