Man Murdered In El Sobrante Identified
The victim had been shot several times, according to an autopsy performed Monday.
EL SOBRANTE, CA — A man who was fatally shot outside of a bar in El Sobrante on Saturday night has been identified by the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office as 28-year-old Richmond resident Mario Ambriz Jr.
The shooting was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Somewhere Else Sports Bar and Grill at 5216 Sobrante Ave., according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies arrived and found Ambriz had been shot. They performed CPR on him but ambulance personnel later pronounced him dead. An autopsy this morning determined he had been shot multiple times, sheriff's officials said.
