Police Chase Into Hercules Locked Down Two Schools

Hercules Police officials report a law enforcement pursuit that ended in Hercules was to blame for the lockdown.

HERCULES, CA- Hercules Middle School and High School were on lockdown Monday afternoon when a police chase from outside of the area came to an end near the campuses.

According to Hercules Police officials, a law enforcement pursuit was lead into town just after 2 p.m. by suspects from outside of the area who were being chased by police.

Hercules officers were not involved in the pursuit. It is unknown at this time what agencies were involved, or what the crimes involved were.

The agency involved in the chase reportedly told HPD that they were headed into the area of the schools and the campuses were locked down for precaution.

Officials say that once the suspects were in custody, the lockdown was lifted.
