Pursuit Following Homicide Suspect Leads Police From Solano County Into Hercules

Reports say that the 120 mph chase involved multiple agencies from Fairfield, ending with Richmond homicide suspect in custody.

HERCULES, CA- A police pursuit that ended in Hercules, causing school lockdowns Monday afternoon started in Fairfield and ended with a possible Richmond homicide suspect in custody, according to the Daily Republic.

The Daily Republic reports that the FBI tipped off Fairfield police to a suspect in the area believed to connected to a homicide in the Richmond area.

Officers reportedly attempted to stop the suspect’s vehicle just before 12:30 p.m., when he took off down Highway 12, weaving through traffic onto I-80 reaching speeds of 120 mph, eventually heading through Vallejo and over the Carquinez Bridge into Contra Costa County.

The chase came to an end in Hercules after local agencies assisted by setting up a perimeter, reports the Daily Republic.

Details about the suspect and crimes have not been released at this time.
