Richmond Homicide Victim Identified

A man who was fatally shot early Sunday morning in unincorporated North Richmond was identified today by Contra Costa County sheriff's officials as 26-year-old Antoine Robinson.

Robinson was the victim of a shooting that deputies responded to at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday in the area of Fred Jackson Way and Market Avenue, according to the sheriff's office.

Responding deputies located the scene of the shooting but did not find a victim there.

The deputies were advised that Robinson, a North Richmond resident, had arrived at Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sheriff's officials did not release any additional details today about the shooting, which is still under investigation.
