Teen Duo from Richmond Arrested for Burglarizing in Pinole: Police

Pinole Police officials credit a tip from a local resident for catching the suspects quickly.

PINOLE, CA- Two Richmond teens were arrested for burglarizing a vehicle in Pinole Monday morning, following a tip from a local resident, reports Pinole Police officials.

According to a social media post, a resident reported seeing two people walking away from a vehicle with the alarm sounding near the Pinole Valley High School around 11:30 a.m.

Officers quickly found two 16-year-old males who were allegedly in possession of items stolen from the vehicle.

The duo was arrested for vehicle burglary and later released to their parents’, says officials.

“We want to thank the reporting party for being alert, calling 911 and following the suspects at a safe distance until we arrived,” Pinole Police officials said in a social media post, “We rely on citizens to be our eyes and ears in the community, and report suspicious circumstances and crimes to us. This is a great example how together we can have a positive impact in Pinole.”
