WEST CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Schools in the West Contra Costa Unified School District will reopen for full in-person learning in the fall following a vote last week by the district's Board of Trustees.
The result of Wednesday's 3-2 vote is pursuant to health guidelines outlined by local, state and federal health officials, according to the board, as well as additional resources needed by the district's schools.
The district reopened all 54 of its schools last month for voluntary in-person classes, focused on the district's highest-needs students.
