5 Things: Theater Auditions, Chamber Mixer and Symphony Registration

1. Tonight is the second night of auditions at Poway's theater PowPAC for an upcoming September production. Interested thespians should make an appointment with Mary Smith at marylousmith2001@cox.net.

2. The Poway Chamber of Commerce Mixer is this Thursday July 25, at the Belmont Village Senior Living at Sabre Springs. Register for it online.

3. Does your kid play an instrument? SD Youth Symphony tweeted Poway Patch to remind residents that July 26 is the deadline for new member registrations. According to the symphony's website, members have weekend rehearsals in Balboa Park and perform at top San Diego venues. 

4. Still have yet to take that summer road trip with the fam? Waste Management of San Diego offers a few tips to Powegians to help make your car ride go smoother. If you stop for gas today, check out your tire pressure — it could help increase your mileage. 

5. Teens can get their tie-dye on this evening at the Poway Library. Youth in grades 6-12 can visit the library at 4 p.m., located at 13137 Poway Rd., and let their creativity come to life on shirts or bandanas. Bring any piece of pre washed cotton clothing — all other supplies will be provided.
